Brady Thomas

Brady Thomas comes from a long line of artists including fine art portraitists and photographers, but didn’t pick up a camera until 2002.
In 2005, she shot her first wedding while working in the corporate world and left it in 2009 to become a full-time wedding photographer. Endless investment in gear, education courses, conferences, memberships and mentorships happened in those years, and still do.

In 2016, Brady built a home studio, and left wedding photography to specialize in beautiful legacy photographs for women and the people and pets they love. When the short ceilings at home proved difficult to shoot dancers, tall subjects or families, she went looking for a studio with nice light and tall ceilings. Her current studio in the historic landmark Benicia Arsenal is a huge creative space dating from 1877 with amazing light and 20’ ceilings! She now hosts masterclasses for creatives from all over the world, in addition to photographing her clients here.

Brady’s competition awards include PPWC 2021 Photographer of the Year, several Loan Collection and many Image Excellence awards, an Associate of WPPI, her M.Photog degree from PPA in 2023 and, freshly returned from Imaging USA 2025, her Craftsman degree this year. Still, most precious to her are her amazed and delighted clientele, many of whom return again and again for a portrait experience in her studio.
